My Second Life!

July 28, 2011 | Leave a Comment

This is what Papa told me today as I was looking at Chaitanya.

He asked me if I remembered anything from the time I was as small as Chaitanya.

I mean, when I was this small, as seen with my Nani…

When I said that I don’t remember anything of when I was small, he told me that I can now ‘see’ it all.

I asked, “How?”

He said – “Just imagine Chaitanya as if he was you. This is because whatever he does now, you used to do when you were this small.”

“Wow, really Papa?” I asked him.

“Really baby!” he told me.

So now I can see how I used to laugh, cry, and do nothing all day long when I was so tiny as Chaitanya is now.

“Chaitanya is like your second life, my baby!” Papa said.

“Yes Papa!”

By the way, friends, here is Chaitanya with his “How boring!” looks…

And here he is thinking why Papa is holding him so tight…

And here he is, almost asleep…

That’s all for now, friends.

I’ve to go and study for my Computer Assessment that is approaching near.

By the way, Papa tells me that he first studied about computers when he was in 6th class.

I’m studying it when I’m all of 6 years old.

Maybe, my baby…I mean Chaitanya…will know about it when he’s 6 months old. 🙂

Rest is all fine. You take care of yourself.

Goodnight…I love you!

Introducing…Chaitanya Khandelwal

July 20, 2011 | 8 Comments

Hi Friends,

Sorry, I was very busy these days with my studies, dance practice, and spending time with my baby…so could not talk to you for a long time.

But I’m back…and with a great news!

After much thought and hard work over the past few days…I’ve finalized the name of my baby.

You will now know him as…Chaitanya!

While I was confused between a few names, like…

  • Abeer (fragrance)
  • Lakshya (aim)
  • Arya (noble)
  • Amartya (immortal)
  • Chaitanya (consciousness)

…I thought Chaitanya was the best of the lot.

So, here’s introducing my hero…Chaitanya Khandelwal!

The first photograph above will show you how small Chaitanya’s face is. He’s still like a tiny mouse.

By the way, I chose Chaitanya’s name…so you can congratulate me for such a nice choice.

And both Kavya and Chaitanya end with ‘ya’, so I think that’s really a good choice.

In other interesting news, Papa went to meet my teachers last Saturday for the PTA meeting.

My class teacher (Charu ma’am) said that I’m very observant and sincere, and my Science and Hindi teachers said that I am their little darling.

I am still confused about the meaning of observant, but as Papa explained, it seems like a compliment.

Coming back to Chaitanya, he turned 2.5 kg last Saturday. This was the same weight at which I was born in 2004.

Mumma says that he’s started to look like my Papa. But Amma says that he looks like me. I think Amma is right here.

Rest is all fine at my end. You say…how’s life treating you?

It’s raining heavily in Mumbai these days, and I’m enjoying it a lot.

Anyways, this was a long letter I wrote today. So I’m tired now.

You take care of yourself, and pray for Chaitanya to become stronger faster.

Take care. I love you all.

Little baby,
Kavya.

My Baby Turned 1 Month This week!

July 4, 2011 | Leave a Comment

Hi Friends,

It’s been one month since my ‘baby’ came into my world.

Mumma said he’s now grown up a bit, but I still think he is as small as when he was born.

By the way, for the first time ever, I took my baby in my lap this week. It was then that I realized that he is really so small.

Just to give you another good news – my Baba came to Mumbai today, and he’s going to stay with me for the next 8 days. I am so happy!

Anyways, here I am, dressed up on the occasion of my baby completing his first month.

Also to share with you another news, I broke two of my front teeth this week. I wanted to show you my ‘toothless’ picture but Papa says that everyone will be frightened to see a vampire!

That’s all from my side for now.

Take care.

Little baby,
Kavya

Ye-He! My Baby Has Come Home

June 22, 2011 | Leave a Comment

Hi Friends,

You must be wondering where have I been hiding these days.

You see, my little angel…my tiny brother…my baby…came home last weekend.

The doctors allowed him to go home only on the promise that I am going to take very good care of him, which I am.

So my baby is home, and I’m loving it. Now I can see him whenever I want…though I can’t touch him as the doctor said that this could cause infection in him.

Even Papa is sad that he is not able to play with the baby. Only Mumma is allowed to play with him.

I will share my baby’s photos with you after a few days. Don’t worry, I will also share his name which Papa-Mummy have allowed me to decide upon.

Another update is that my school has reopened after the summer holidays. It’s nice to go back to my friends and teachers, but the only bad part is that I now need to get up at 6 am. I wonder if schools opened late and ended early.

Anyways, that’s all for now from my side. I bid you goodbye as I need to go and see my baby.

I think he is crying. Let me go and make him laugh.

See you. Take care.

Little baby,
Kavya

Yippee! I Saw My Tiny Prince Today!

June 3, 2011 | Leave a Comment

Hi Friends,

Today was another big day for me, as I saw my little baby for the first time.

The nurse showed him to me from inside the ICU’s glass door, as if she was showing me a piece of delicate diamond jewelery.

But my baby shone like a small piece of diamond jewelery. He was so handsome that I thought a prince had come from the Heavens in the form of my brother.

Thank you God for giving me my brother!

I could see my face in his’, and knew that he also saw his face in mine. That’s why he seemed like smiling as soon as he saw me.

He was so tiny that I was worried how was the nurse managing to hold him.

Mumma said that when he grows bigger, she will allow me to hold him in my laps as well.

I am eagerly waiting for my baby to come home with me.

But papa says that this won’t happen for the next 10-12 days at least 🙁

I’m missing you, my dear baby.

Get well soon, and come home soon.

Your little didi,
Kavya
